Catherine Hildreth Lyon True,
7u, of 15920 Weld County Road 5, Mead, died Wednesday at Longmont
Hospital.
She was born Feb. 15, 1906, in Smith County, Kan. She
married Carl True Jan. 21, 1932. She was preceded in death by her
husband and her parents, Altice Horner and Estelle Gripton Lyon.
She moved to Mead in 1932 from Denver. She was a nurse
and a member of the United Methodist Church of Mead.
She is survived by a daughter, Donna J. Groth of Selma,
Ore.; three brothers, Erlyn H. Lyon and Wayne G. Lyon both of Denver and
Altice D. Lyon of San Diego, Calif.; three sisters, Mamie Donovan of
Valley Center, Kan., Sylvia Stetson of Arcadia, Calif., and Evadell
Anderson of Lakewood: six grandchildren: and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Howe Mortuary
Chapel. The Rev. Jay Harding of Mead United Methodist Church will
officiate. The casket will be closed during the service.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and 1 to
6 p.m. Sunday. Contributions may be made to Mead United Methodist
Church.
Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Howe Mortuary of Longmont is in charge of arrangements.
