(Note: Mary was the first women minister to serve in Colorado. It was through her efforts
that the Highlandlake Church building was built. She was also a returned missionary from
Africa where she served 7 years until ill health forced her return to the states.)

(Note; George Davis was a
Congregational missionary who founded the first 4 congregational churches in Colorado.
Central City, Black Hawk, Longmont and Highlandlake. He built his house on the southeast
corner of Highlandlake in 1878 finishing it in 1881, and in
1896 sold it to the
Highlandlake church for use as a parsonage.)
