We are in the process of redesigning and updating our website. Please be patient as many of the links are not available, but will be soon.
On June 20, 2016, 200 Mead High School football players are converging on our Historic Highlandlake Church building. The plan is to spend at least a week, sprucing up the outside of the building, giving it a much needed brand new coat of paint. Thanks to Benjamin Moore Paints for donating 8 gallons of paint and giving us a 30% discount on the rest, Colorado East Bank and Trust, Chiropractic Dimensions, and the Firestone Home Depot for donations of painting supplies, and Romeo's Quality Painting for deeply discounting his price and supervising the painting process, plus painting the trim and the upper reaches of the building (where no teenager is allowed to go).
The winner of our silent auction on June 12, 2016, for our vintage stained glass window is Teri Johnson! Congratulations Teri!
June 12, 2016 is our 95th Annual Pioneer Day!
We are very busy planning our 95th Annual Pioneer Day. This year, it falls on July 12, and oh the fun that we are going to have! While most of our plans are still in the works, we can announce that several members of the Berthoud Blues, a vintage base ball (yes back then it was two words not one) team is going to be on hand to demonstrate the fine art of playing the game-1880s style. Stay tuned for more developments!
