Historic Highlandlake, a nonprofit, historical association dedicated to the preservation of the rich history of Highlandlake & Mead, Colorado, recently named Pauli Driver Smith as their Executive Director.

A resident of the Highlandlake community since 1987, Smith has been a board member of the association since 1990, serving first as secretary of the organization and more recently as the board historian. Smith has been actively involved in preserving local history since she moved to Colorado in 1973, most recently by spearheading the campaign to save the Historic Highlandlake church building. She is currently attending Front Range Community College - Boulder County Campus pursuing a degree in Non-Profit Administration and is currently serving there in her second year as President of the Student Government Association.

As the Executive Director, Smith will be responsible for the day to day business of this 84 year old association, including increasing the Highlandlake/Mead community's awareness of the importance of historical preservation, continuing to raise funds to finish the restoration of the Historic Highlandlake Church building and overseeing the implementation of a paid membership program.
